Connecting sqlpro with netbeans9/10/2023 ![]() Software required for this tutorial is NetBeans IDE & Oracle Database XE which should already be installed on your computer and Oracle JDBC Thin Driver. Both software is installed on the same computer. In this tutorial, we shall establish a connection of the locally installed oracle database XE with Netbeans IDE. ![]() Basically, NetBeans IDE has already built-in support for oracle database as support to MySQL server. I've turned off my firewall, I'm not using a proxy, kind of pulling my hair out here.In this tutorial, we shall learn how to connect oracle database XE with NetBeans IDE for database administration & development using NetBeans IDE and connection for developing database-oriented Java EE web application project and Java Desktop project. ![]() What else should I try? It looks like it's getting to the server and than everything is just bouncing off. at 0(Native Method)Īt (NativeConstructorAccessorImpl.java:57)Īt (DelegatingConstructorAccessorImpl.java:45)Īt .newInstance(Constructor.java:526)Īt .handleNewInstance(Util.java:411)Īt .createCommunicationsException(SQLError.java:1121)Īt .(MysqlIO.java:357)Īt .coreConnect(ConnectionImpl.java:2482)Īt .connectOneTryOnly(ConnectionImpl.java:2519)Īt .createNewIO(ConnectionImpl.java:2304)Īt .(ConnectionImpl.java:834)Īt 4Connection.(JDBC4Connection.java:47)Īt 0(Native Method)Īt .getInstance(ConnectionImpl.java:416)Īt .connect(NonRegisteringDriver.java:346)Īt (DriverManager.java:571)Īt (DriverManager.java:215)Ĭaused by: : Connection timed out: connectĪt 0(Native Method)Īt (DualStackPlainSocketImpl.java:79)Īt (AbstractPlainSocketImpl.java:339)Īt (AbstractPlainSocketImpl.java:200)Īt (AbstractPlainSocketImpl.java:182)Īt (PlainSocketImpl.java:172)Īt (SocksSocketImpl.java:392)Īt (Socket.java:579)Īt (Socket.java:528)Īt .connect(StandardSocketFactory.java:259)Īt .(MysqlIO.java:307) The driver has not received any packets from the server. Logger.getLogger(()).log(Level.SEVERE, null, ex) Ĭom.4.CommunicationsException: Communications link failure I used this code in NetBeans: import java.sql.* Ĭlass.forName("").newInstance() Ĭonnection con = DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:mysql://127.0.0.0:3306/", "root", "wonderwoman") I even updated to Windows 7 to make sure it wasn't a driver authentication issue with Vista. It looked like the server was listening on the correct port and MySQL workbench was using the right port. I used Wire Shark to see what the packet data looked like. I tested to make sure the server was on and the correct port was being used by telnet in command prompt and as expected it asks for password input like it should. No successful packets sent and nothing received. ![]() I changed to Netbeans to make sure it wasn't just Eclipse and something on my system. I redownloaded Connector/J to make sure there wasn't an error from a download hiccup. Zero packets were sent successfully and there was no response from the server. I've tried using Eclipse Juno and Kepler and got eclipse SQL State: 08S01 error 0. ![]() The notifier shows the server is running. MySQL workbench can use the server for queries and updates just fine. I've looked all over and tried everything I've been able to find on this so I'm making a post in case my issue is something strange. ![]()
